i have 2GB od DDR2-800, a Athlon x2 6000 and a 8600GT left over,

i was thinking of making a download box/NAS/HTPC, but i think that the 120 Watt TDP 6000+ isnt the right processor, anyone had any luck underclocking it for low noise and low power consumptiom ?

thats a hungry one, some nice bios options like voltage might help...otherwise u can just limit it to running at its lowest through power options in control panel/..set maximum possessor state to 10% hope this helps a little

Well high clocking parts are usually better binned for lower leakege, so you should do some decen under-clocking as well...
