So I am looking to get some sort of 2 in 1 but i feel like there isn't really anything that exactly meets my specs. I'll be using it as something of a replacement for my dated laptop which I use for work school and entertainment. This means it really just needs to run word excel word matlab and surf the net. That being said I don't think I need a super powerful one like the MS surface or anything. I do plan on using it as a tablet frequently too so the lighter the better. In my research I have discovered 4 contenders that more or less meet my requirments but there is a drawback to each one. the ideal machine would be 1080p have at least one full sized USB port, some sort of detachable keyboard and either a bay trail processor or the new pentiums. Here is a list of what I have narrowed it down to and why.

lenovo yoga 11, heavier than the others and keyboard doesn't detach

lenovo lynx, I really liked this one because the keyboard dock has a battery but the processor is dated (the old atom)

sony vaio tap 11, this was my favorite of these but it was very expensive considering whats under the hood ($700). I also actually liked that the keyboard is completely free floating, gives more freedom. This was also the only one of these with a 1080p screen which is a big plus imo.

asus t100, the t100 is good but doesn't really excel at anything plus its a bit chunkier than the vaio and i think the lynx too

What do you guys think would be the best option for me? Are there any others out there that I missed that might be a good choice? Let me know in the comments/poll

I don't think my concience would allow me to recommend a Sony Vaio to anyone. Lenovos are pretty robust, but atoms are bloody awful. Probably the yoga from me.

bumpin this, so now I'm interested in the miix 2 10.1 and Pentium based yoga. Opinions on these two? I like the fact that the miix is an actual tablet and has great resolution. But the yoga is cheaper and has a better processor and a larger but slower had.
help me decide! Lol
