Hello Everyone.

I wanted to bring to your attention a problem we've been receiving in our shop.
A customer brought in a computer where he claimed he updated his Nvidia driver yesterday and his fps dropped from 300+ to 120+/-
We looked into his case, after exhausting all possibilities from bios settings to software we noticed that his 10700kf was only running at 2.6Ghz. which is roughly half of normal speeds (Under load).
We checked out his power settings, lo and behold his power settings were set to "Power Saving", after we switched it to "High Performance" his CPU instantly went to 4.8Ghz and the FPS skyrocketed to 300+FPS.

After further inspection we found out that the latest windows update (which happened at the same time as his Nvidia driver update) changed his power settings to "Power Saving".
So if you are experiencing massive FPS drop after windows update do check out your power settings, putting it to balanced will not achieve max clock speeds and will result in slightly lower fps than from High Performance but using high performance will result in higher power usage & constant high speeds on the cpu clock.
