Memory Advice Needed

Hi guys im wanting to upgrade my RAM to 24GB from its current 12GB con fig but i cant find any info on what the Quickest ram is that i can in stall the board is an X58a-ud3r (gigabit) socket B (1366) any ideas on what would be the Fastes ram ( Not most capasity) that will work wit this board its Revishion 2.0 runing an intel I7 930 cpu at 2.95 gigaherts

Anything over 1066 on skt1366 will be an overclock on the IMC, so it really depends on your particular CPU how fast the memory you can throw in it will run. Worse comes to worse, you can down-clock high speed memory and drop the latencies. Maybe someone with a 920 through 970 could recommend something or give you an idea how fast their IMC will run. The motherboard appears to be happy with up to 2200, but like I said, it will depend on the IMC.

It seems the sweet spot for my 24gbs of ram with my i7 950 is 1800mhz. I have 1866mhz rated ram, but it doesn't seem to quite want to go there. I think my imc is pretty much maxed out with this. Mileage may vary!
