I have a Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard from microsoft, with the Back and Next buttons programmed to be previous and next track respectively. They always work except when I'm playing Warcraft 3 for some reason, which I find to be a bit annoying. Even WC3 in windowed mode they don't work if Warcraft's window is in focus. Is there something I can do to fix this so they do? All media buttons do not work when Warcraft is in focus, my volume, mute, etc as well.

1. Scan your computer for any virus.
2. Try turning off all firewalls and protection programs. (Avast, Avira, etc.)
3. Go to PortForward and open a port.
4. Delete any programs that tweaks your internet. (if any)
5. Report back any findings.

Make sure you do one of the above, report, then do the other.

I appreciate the help but why would my internet have anything to do with this? Even disconnected from the internet it happens. Also this isn't a new issue, I've just never bothered to seek help for it. After fresh installations of various versions of Windows the media keys just simply don't work when Warcraft 3 is in focus. I'm certain a virus isn't the culprit, I have firewalls off, port 6112 is open for WC3, no programs tweak my internet.

Sounds like when WoW has focus it is capturing all of the key presses.
If it gets something it does not like or does not know what to do with it just pitches it.
Not sure if you can do anything about it.
Maybe someone else will come along who has experienced this.

Actually WoW works fine, it's just Warcraft 3 that I experience this, never anytime else. Oh well, I guess I'll just deal with it.
