Any reason to go with these over the powerline adapters?
As I've recently found out, powerline adapters are finicky. At least in my house, they don't like going through surge protectors, circuit breakers, or being near cell phone chargers. Going over coax, I'd imagine you wouldn't have to worry a whole lot about how it's wired.

Never heard of them before. Any reason to go with these over the powerline adapters?

powerline adapters wont work at all for this because you are under the assumtion I am using it to connect something via ethernet. I am getting rid of my verizon router in favor of my OPNsense router however the set top box pulls data for the guide and VOD via the internet (COAX). So I need an adapter or when i ditch the router the TV will stop working. The current fios routers have a moca bridge built into the router itself and they simply have a static route to WAN. via the router.

ONT-->OPNsense-->Switch-->Moca Bridge-->STB
