Most Beautiful Game?

I was wondering what everyones opinion was on the most graphically beautiful game you guys have played. What I mean by this is, which game has the most stunning graphics? I don't want opinions on gameplay etc., just graphical quality.

The two for me would be:

1.) Metro 2033

2.) Battlefield Bad Company 2

So what is your opinion?

HL2 series with CM10

GTA4, really thinking about the immense amount of things going on and being able to interact with it to a large degree still is just amazing, I know other games have some AI but not to this degree.

DIRT2 is gorgeous, Crysis natural mod (or other visual tweaks) can look stunning too.

Cinematic mod for HL2 is great too.... just recently I've been highly impressed by mafia 2 for PC also.

BC2, Metro, Crysis, Dirt 2, Just Cause 2, FarCry 2 that just about covers it, Trine also looks great, especially for what it is. HL2 with CM10 does look great, but I can't find myself rating it up there with the other FP titles on this list, it looks like a very polished and great looking DX9 game.

I think Crysis with the natural mod looks the best and Battlefield Bad Company 2 is the most realistic in regards to destruction. Haven't played Metro 2033 though.

Of course, nothing beats the classics that used live video like Mad Dog McCree, Who Shot Johnny Rock, and the other ones by American Laser Games. Whatever happened to that company I wonder??? 256 colors, VGA resolution, choppy video,.. it was awesome back in the day!

Crysis for me

I make my own custom Ultra high config files to play crysis on :toast:

I just completely remove clipping distances/LOD caps and grab a 4.0Ghz quad and massive video memory- tweak some heavy shadow resolution- more deep occlusion colors- and i got my self some pretty good ultra high config

took me a week of random tweaking to get it pristine.

i think i was bored and had a autoexec.cfg over 200+ commands long easy.

Just adjust them one at a time :toast:

I think its broken with the latest source update. Let me know if it works for you cause I can't launch it says missing GCF.

And Metro 2033 is by far the best looking IMO. Moments in that game had me feeling I was controlling an actor in a real life movie.

GT5 looks promising, but only for the PS3...:shadedshu I am a nonconsole person myself.

The CM10 mod did not work for me either

lol good then its not just me hehe. An update to it should be coming out soon so keep what you have installed and you should just be able to patch it to 10.9

The driver in the first pic looks like the Stig and the second picture either has bad lighting or there is no driver lol.

Crysis definately and although I think either Metro 2033 and BC2 are objectively the second, I am going to pick Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood as my second choice. It is IMO the most underrated game in latest years.

Never seen Forza so it's a fair replacement

Also I agree I thought bioshocks graphics were mediocre at best.

Good for the time and the water was the main feature but other than that the character models and objects didnt look so good to me.

Forza is nice i forget all the small details in the game, GRID was nice tho.
