Hey all. So Ive been playing Civ 5 for a few weeks and I starter crashing on 480th turn. I'm gonna reinstall directx but am wondering if this is caused by my drivers.

Now the question, what would be best, most stable driver for 4890 CF configuration?

Most stable would most likely be the current video drivers. If for whatever reason teh most current drivers are the culprit to your problem, try the previous version.

Do you get any type of error code on the crash?

Nah, no error code, just crashes to desktop.

BTW, I am using old drivers from last year. They have been working great in every game so I had no reason to update, until now that is. I guess Ill just try the latest drivers.

Hmmm. New Drivers did not help at all.

Oh and I also realized that there WAS an actual error. Anyone know a fix for this? I spent a few weeks on that game :(

You could always try uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that makes a difference.

You can always backup the save file and when you reinstall it just slap the save file where it was before and start back up right where you left off.

I downloaded the latest drivers (11.3) in addition to the CF extra and it seems to work ok, although I havent tested any game except Civ5.
