My Asus Radeon EAH5870 V2 is in! Need advise

It came with GamerOSD and SmartDoctor software. Should I use them or use MSI AfterBurner instead. What would be best and user friendly? Also should I use the driver CD?

Install the latest drivers from www.amd.com

SmartDoctor works well with your card, use that. :toast:

max on afterburner is 1.35 as well gputool allows the higest voltage tweaking of any software thats what I use

guys i have two of the asus EAH5850 and i can say that you will LOVE that 5870 for sure. they are simply AWESOME. I've got mine crossfired running about 950/1250.

1.35 is not the max "any" software will allow. however one should not go above 1.35 unless they plan to subzero or have good liquid cooling.

i like it but havent had much time to play with it, i already took it apart lol

but idk whats to high of a volt for the core since my last ati card was a 1950xt

but fans loud at 100%, 45% seems to be the highest i can live with but mines on the rack and im sure i can go more if i had it in the case

but auto works good also

idles not as low but still keeps the card cool with out going death

Got the Card to, but till now I was to busy to play instead of OC.
I use the Smart Doctor Tool with 1.212V, what means stock by this Card I run atm. 900/1250 as 24/7 Setting. With 1.27V I can run 1000/1300 but then the Card is to loud for me.
