My Psu keep failing Help plz 5 times in 4 month!nightmare

Hi guys ive had my pc for the last 8 month but the last 4 month 5 psu died /failing on me i have a surge protector plugged in after the 3nd one went out but its stil hapening..atm im planning to buy a UPS ...and wanting to get more advice on what is causing this problem could it be a virus or a failing motherboard or video card failure etc etc ...the brands of psu i was using were asus/antec atm im using some random psu called Besta i bought from a local shop,any advice tips would be helpful thx u ^^ and ive had other pc in the same power outlet without any problem!

Sounds like it might be a short. You need to check there is nothing on you r mobo causing a short. (thermal paste/something disconnected.)
Make sure there are no stray screws. And check behind the mobo.

Also see if your board/case has warped/bent and is touching the motherboard tray.

Have you tried running it without the surge protector? Maybe that's your source

If not Follow alexp999's advice probably some little object allowing for current to flow.

Would the amount of amps needed to power the computer become an issue - if your computer is demanding a high amount of power and the PSU can't keep up it may be overheating and killing it.
I would have thought that it just would have turned off though can someone comment on this thought?

As WhiteLotus said it would help if you fill in your system specs so that we can see what PSU you have and what else you have in your pc (esp graphics card). That way one can exclude low amperage and wattage.

pull down ur case. examine every component for shorts. put together. physically examine ur surge guard and wall socket. does anyhting else in ur house go

my pc is a normal pc isnt fully done up where it would need a bigger Psu petium e2410 2 gig ram and a ati radeon hd 2400 pro asus vid card and the mobo is a asus p5pl2-E ^^ btw thx for teh advice so far ^^

What are the commonn denominators here? Same motherboard throughout the PSU failures? Same HDD's? Could you fill in your specs under "User CP" so we can see what you have in the box so to speak.
