[WTB][EU] NES Cartridge Cover

Hi guys.

Don't know if you remember but many moons ago i attempted to build a NES box for emulators and it died a death and never went anywhere.

Well ive nearly finished my second attempt, this time with a raspberry pi however im missing one vital part.

The cover that would lift up to allow you to insert a cartridge.

Do anyone have or know where i can get my hands on one? I don't really want to purchase a new (to me) NES console just for that, however if any one has a non functional one i would be interested in purchasing it if the cover can't be found. It must be non functional though, i don't want to destroy a working one.

those old console can be cheap it's normally the games for them that they charge you for.

Well.. that IS a non-functional NES being sold for parts for $10.50. Not going to find much better than that.

I used to write games in assembler for my NES, program them to EPROMS and solder them to dead game boards. Was big in that community, nearly had a game at one point. My old "original" NES is a hacked together unoriginal POS now, it includes a daughterboard inbetween the CPU and graphics bridge that grabs screenshots. This made the whole assembly thicker, and as such I had to basically rip that door cover off.

I still have it. $5 and it's yours, SH included if in america. It's original and reasonably clean.

EDIT: Oh, you are in the UK. This could make things tricky...

Hey everybody. Sorry for the late reply, Family illness that's keeping me occupied.

Thanks for all the help, there's some cool websites ill be bookmarking. With regards to the lid, i managed to find one for £5 shipped so snapped it up.

R-T-B fancy PM'ing me some more details or links to details with regards to how you wrote your own games and any info on the daughter-board? Sounds pretty interesting.

Oh sure, I can do that. I don't know if I have records about all the parts I used but I'll photograph my handiwork anyways, maybe put it in the ghetto mods thread or something, hehe.
