Sure that isn't 128 gibibits aka 16 gibibytes? I could believe 16 GiB, not 128 GiB. I don't like the URL plastered on the side either (9gag.com).

Old news. Yes, it's 128 GB (gigaBYTE) because it's made from 8Gb (gigaBIT) modules. And you can look at the pic without the watermark to that detestable site.

SK Hynix press release claims it is real. I count 19 chips and there's presumably another 19 on the other side. Not sure how, from that, they are reaching 128.

I assume these sticks are ridiculously expensive because of the through-silicon via technology. Desktop users wouldn't be interested in them.

Whats wrong with the URL on the side? I respect copyright of picture. Same I do for every website.
