Got a GTX260 for christmas... love that wife of mine!
core 216, EVGA card.
This is 'stock' benchmark from 3dmark06
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=9434760
The only thing non-stock about that benchmark is that I took of the stock cooler, installed the swiftech full cover heat-sink for the gpu side ram/mosfets and the stock backplate, then my MC60 waterblock. So it's running at 36c idle (ambient temps 72f)
I bumped the clocks up a bit and got this:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=9434948
Now, my questions...
I want to determine that my system (CPU/GPU/ RAM....) is all optimally clocked... What is the best way to do this? (CPU-Z validated - click) Oh, and FYI - there are background services and such running on the PC during all these benchmarks I'm showing you... I have a VMware server running and a guest instance of XP loaded in there too, but it's really idle mostly so I'm guessing it has little impact...
Oh, and by the way - Does the GTX260 downclock??? evga precision shows very low clocks (300/600/100)!
Thanks in advance guys for your powerful advice. Detailed assistance welcomed!
