No internet access

Im working on helping someone get there computer set up on my network, but i cant get it to get internet. The computer connects to the network, has full signal bars, but no internet access.

Whats ive tried to far
flushing dns
restarting router
ipconfig commands

everything ive looked at seems like it should work, but im getting nowhere. Any1 have any thoughts on this

reinstalll drivers. on the computer.

try running different security protocols on the router. start with the simplest or WEP. some devices have trouble.

The driver was one idea i had, but i dont have an open ethernet jack so ill have to try that tomorrow

as for the protocols, ive tried that and got nowhere

Please try to re-run the connection setup wizard again on your router if it has one. Sometimes it needs to be re-ran if stuff changes. Also reboot your modem as well.

Try different WLAN channels as well. Sometimes you may be getting a lot of interferrence.

Also could you please specify the router you are using so we may assist you further?

Thanks for the responses and sorry for the delay of mine, work was rough the last few days. I attempted to update the driver, but there isnt one so i reinstalled, which didnt work. The routher/modem is a 2 in one from comcast, Arris tg862,

What type of security program/s do/did they have installed? I've seen McAfee and Norton both completely block internet access for no reason. Even after being uninstalled they can sometimes still block internet until you run their clean-up programs.

The LAN/wireless drivers need to be installed on the computer.

So i found my usb Wireless card and that seems to be doing the trick, which brings me to the assusmption that the internal wireless card for the computer is simply failing. If anyone has any ideas id be glad to try them but atm thats my current diagnosis

The antivirus was kapersky which i just uninstalled, i still need to restart once i clean up there startup, and while im at it run malwarebytes to get some of the viruses they have
