Am I the only one who loved Diablo 1 over the 2nd? Granted the coop/online play was a joke, but MAN I loved the first Diablo - even the music was amazing.

Diablo 2 was too geared for online/Battlenet play for me. Fun, but not nearly as fun SP.

Tho - I will say that the hardcore Necro I played (Mr. Eskimo) on battlenet will never be forgotten! It's retarded that I remember that toon's name... :laugh:

Good, they were more a issue than any thing, will not be missed by me lol.

At this time i don't think the games all that but time will tell and as far as i can tell there's going be a demo as you can reserve it on fileplanet. Not seen any thing of the game really seemed linear to me which will stop me from buying it.

Ahhhh... fresh meat.

The diablo 3 HD trailer did not look cartoony at all. Its simple a spruced up diablo II. It looks VERY similar, in fact - excluding the physics aspects.

I wouldn't get upset about it. This simply means they have an expansion pack in mind. I take it everyone forgot about the Diablo II: Lord of Destruction expansion pack?? Which included the Druid and Assassin. Was there another?? And if I remember correctly you need the expansion pack to play online. I forgot why though. Not sure if it was do to the update or because everyone was playing it.

They removed the necromancer because there was two options: make him weaker and piss off the fans, or leave him as he was (unbalanced/too powerful - if not by much)

So they re-invented him as the witchdoctor. end story.

you are not alone my friend, diablo 1 was THE BEST. its multiplayer may not have been as good as diablo 2's but at the time, it was good enough to continue playing with friends for a very long time =P

if you still play the game you've obviously missed out on 101 newer games out there or your pc can only handle something that old.

second the graphics look great, a little like the xbox's forgotten realm game... can't remember the name. but it's a great looking game and if you read the news you'll have read on the web that the graphics in the demo will be exact or at best close to what you saw.. that and of course i doubt they'd make a game that took this long to create look like shit.

And lets not forget the timeline here. I've been playing world of warcraft since beta, and despite it's shitty graphics it's a kickass game(i'm sorry in advance if you're toon lost to my lock/priest combo-that's just too bad). so i don't think diablo 3 will look anything like the dated game teh WoW is.

diablo 3 has TWO different movies out - ones a cinematic trailer (pre rendered) while the other (available in HD) is gameplay footage.

The gameplay footage looks nothing like WoW, it looks like diablo II.

Necro was crap in the lower levels, but dang, once you got the golems it was all over for the rest of the game. He was very unbalanced. As for the graphics, I couldn't give a rip about them as long as the gameplay is good. It's not cel shaded, or Anime, so I am good.
