Noctua D15 compatibility question

I am picking parts for my new system build. I have already got a set of ADATA ddr4 2800 32gb kit. I am about to purchase ASUS Sabertooth X99. The only question left now is whether Noctua D15 will fit this motherboard as well as clearing the ADATA RAM heatsink. I have checked on Noctua website. They did not show any memory compatibility information. I checked on ASUS website, and it didn't show any Noctua compatibility issue. So my question is do you guys think the D15 will fit for both the mobo as well as the RAM? Thanks!

OK I checked that Fractal Design R5 has a max CPU heatsink clearance of 188mm, so even if I have to raise the D15 fan it should be good. The only problem remains the compatibility between mobo, D15 and ADATA ram.

Benchmark Scores Why sit on the Bench when you can get in the game and Crunch!!!
The cooler should clear since Noctua added a step in the fins... however, you may have to raise the fans a bit to clear everything.

@sneekypeet or @crazyeyesreaper should be able to confirm this ;)

It should fit on the motherboard looking at it compared to my Z87 SaberTooth. What kit of ram specifically?

Hard to tell with that link. I see you say you already have them, can I assume you know how to measure their height? Then we can check that against the Noctua specs.

OK so the tallest point measures around 4cm. That is from the edge of the pins to the top of the heatsink

X99 has about 78mm center CPU toward PCIe sockets and 55mm toward RAM sockets. NH-D15 is 75mm toward PCIe and 67.5mm toward RAM w/o front fan, 93.5mm with front fan. With RAM of reasonable height other coolers that cool just as well will also fit nicely .. like R1 Ultimate, PH-TC14PE, Silver Arrow to name a few with several new coolers like FI-REEX Deluxe, Reeven Okeanos, Alpenfohn K2/DeepCool Assassin 2, etc.

Thanks for the help guys! I also emailed Noctua customer service. They verified that it should fit with no problem, since I will be using 4 DIMM slots, and the ASUS configuration suggests users to use the slot that will not be blocked by the front fan. So all good!

I just made purchase of the Sabertooth X99 from newegg. They have a 15% off coupon code for me so that brought the motherboard price from $330 to $280 with free shipping. I guess that is considered a good deal.

Just to report back, The ADATA heat-spreader does not have interference with Noctua D15. Everything fits perfectly with ample room left .
