well, its not a SINGLE card by definition, but it might fit because it does only have 1 pcie connector...

IMO ATi has the best one right now. While it has only 512mb 256-bit memory bus and 1 GPU, it has gddr4 memory.. Nvidia's current best has 2 GPU's and 512 bit memory bus... but ddr3. I don't know if it's worth sacraficing a 512-bit mem interface and 512mb ram for the ddr4, but that's just IMO.

i think the 7950gx2 is technically two cards,it is sli on one card so should it really be in the same class as single cards.2xgpu's=2 cards

Argueing thats it's either 1 or 2 cards is stupid. It has one pci-e connector, but 2 gpus. It's in SLI mode. But just 1 pci-e connector. Let's say that it's 1 and a half cards, since it has the properties of 2 cards but one connector.
