around here its just sales now, no one does repairs at all anymore.

I only know about one store that repairs computers here, and does not just try and sell someone a new PC. Their prices are about half of the stores that don't actually repair computers. I know it is the only store that will repair laptops.

Well it was fun while it lasted, but unfortunately i've had to close up shop. Between some questionable local politics and other shady dealings, not to mention getting shafted by a certain communications company... i've had to close up shop. Not to fear though, I intend on re-opening the shop at a later time at a better location. I've since moved to Colorado. Working on getting back on my feet and such. At least i have the experience and know what things to do better for next time.

Thanks everyone for the support. Right now I've got a job lined up with Staples pending a background check (which won't be a problem) as one of their Techs... though it seems there isn't much hardware work involved, but it's a job. I've seen competitors prices... and I'm not impressed in the slightest, and I know I could compete easily. One disadvantage is that there aren't as many computer stores I can drive to like Frys, Microcenter, or Tiger Direct. I still have an Amazon Prime account that will help. For now I'm mostly trying to get back on my feet, gotta help my girlfriend too. She moved up here with me. We're engaged to get married. We were originally going to do it in GA in October, but the move set things back a bit lol. I've seen a few spots around that would make for a good location for a shop, so there's still hope yet lol. I did have to leave quite a few things behind in the move, like my color laser printer, a bunch of spare parts, etc. but I've still got my tools and gadgets I need to get things done!

Bad thing about Ft. Collins/Loveland is there are a LOT of competition for computer shops. I think Ft Collins has probably 15 or so now. Granted, most of them are probably your "fly by night" type of shops that the majority don't know crap but none the less the competition is heavy in your area.
