ordered my 2900pro

ive ordered my sapphire 1gb ddr4 2900pro should be in with me in a week and a couple of days so ill get some benchies in asap

but in the mean time ill get my p5k-e and e6750 and with the classy crossfire setup and tell you how it goes soon hoping the 2900 will clock well i know the ram runs at 1600mhz and 600 core should be enough power

stock so should all be good

1600mhz on ram

sorry i was looking at the xt gddr4 lol still should be a fast card maybe ill get the 2000 what the xt gets

OcUK had some 512MB ones for £170-175ish, but I think the 1GB cards were about £50 more. They're pretty cheap imo. The 1GB is the same rough price as the XT 512MB, right?

Either way, it's better than the cost of that Gemini card from Gecube, £165 for a 1GB DDR2 version, with twin 2600XT cores. There were 32 in stock when it was launched, there's 32 in stock right now.

Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: None.
Cons: Creates too much heat, very loud fan, uses more power than 8800GTS SLI.
Other Thoughts: Do not get this card. Go with an 8800GTS 320MB instead, much cheaper too. I couldn't even get over 20FPS in the Crysis beta or 30 in BioShock with this card. I was able to get over 50 in both Crysis and BioShock on my 320MB 8800GTS easily.

I know it's about $30 more from the GTS 320MB. The specs are a lot higher. Hmm.. I might make up my mind to "cross-grade" mine.

I'm guessing not....If anyone here as read the reviews it shows clearly that the 2900Pro outperforms the 8800GTS except in OpenGL games on 3DMark.
Yes, it consumes more power, but it's cheaper (at least in this country).

ive ordered mine in through a works friends but it will be here very shortly guys

we have had the 2900pro's in the uk for 2-3 days overclockers had them in and been selling the 512mb at £170 and the 1gb is £210 but i got mine in for a fraction under £200 in

i think the 1gb version is a great price at ocuk for a pro 1gb if you overclock it well you could be saving a lot of money and still get the performance of a xt but i think the pro is going to need more volts but if you have good cooling id get one!!

Great card, price/performance ratio-wise. I've got an SLI capable motherboard and I've had my eye on a 8800GTS (or two of em) for some time now (mostly because of their ROP counts and pixel pushing power), but a single 2900Pro looks like a great deal. Plus after owning a total of 5 nVidia cards from 2005 to 2006 (7 of em if you count from 2002) I've grown tired of their poor drivers. It seemed like every new version fixed something but broke compatibility with some older game. (And I have lots of old games)

I bought my first ATI card last year and I was pretty impressed. (Afterwards I bought two more ATI cards for my media box and secondary machine)

Can we expect some benchmarks soon?

NOTE: My secondary machine is CrossFire capable. (DFI RDX200)

Sorry to hear. I had a PNY 7900GS. Good card. I finally got rid of mine yesterday. I gave it away to my brother, along with the rest of a pc, minus a monitor. He didn't want my 17" crt.

Is there a local Craigslist for you? I have had good luck getting/getting rid of computer parts there.
