A teaser trailer has been released for Outlast 2, the sequel to what is regarded as one of the scariest video games ever made. Set for launch in Fall, 2016. Developer says the game will have even more surprises than the original, and that the sequel will test players' faith. ... whatever that means

I'm using Outlast and Portal as benchmarks for most laptops I fix. The first game was good enough to get me interested, but still did not live up to my expectations. Basically it is very similar to Penumbra: Overture, but with super-simplified gameplay, complete absence of physics-based puzzles or even interactive moving objects for that matter, good looking graphics (if you ignore chunky character models/animation), and overrated scare factor (even if you are using VR)...

Considering that Outlast was this teams first official project, I'd say Outlast 2 is definitely something worth looking into. I hope they don't end up making sequels the same way Frictional Games did with Penumbra...

For some reason I totally forgot about this. There's a beta screenshot and some gameplay demo

I'm impressed. Atmosphere is more creepy now. Have some elements from Fear and Sinister

It seems it's gonna be about cultists/satanists and some dark rituals. Kinda reminds me of las plagas and Ganado in RE4
