First post, be kind.

Just wondering if memory speed and/or interface affects physx, the reason being i've got these cards

XFX 8800 GS Alpha Dog Edition (384 DDR3 192 Bit) (Got 2 of these)
Asus 9600 GSO Magic (512 DDR2 128 Bit)

I think they use the same GPU, just wondering which to use, I just can't find any info about memory affecting Physx.

you running the 88's in SLI with the 96 as physx? thats how i would probably do it myself.

hes running a BFG 250 (sys specs)and im guessing he wants to use one of those cards as a seperate physx runner..id presume the 8800 alpha would be the best option for that? i believe the 8800 series were awsome, specialy the alpha dogs.

I've got a gts 250 as the main card just wondering which to use as the physx, as there dosen't seem to be any info (that I can find) about ram speed. sorry about the confusion

Would overclocking improve Physx or should I leave the alpha dog at stock?

i personaly would leave it at stock, try to find out wat card has more stream processors..i believe that has alot to do with choice of card to use..

Both cards have the same number of cores. Nvidia renaming at work (8800GS to 9600GSO).

Thinking of selling both as well as other cards. Xpertvision 7600gt 256mb DDR3 (old school) and a Palit gts 250 1GB (SLI fingers don't match BFG (wish I found out before I bought it)
I think this should be in buy and sell thread oh well (whoops)
