playing games while watching a movies?

i dnt get it, all u need to do is to set the two monitors to "act as one" (im not sure about an ati card, but u can do it with the nvidia), run your game in a window (but made it full screen on one of the screens :D), put the media player onto the other screen and set it to "always on top"

why wouldnt that work?

Since you want dual monitor, 2 separate PC would do the trick. Say you upgrade, buy 1 new powerful PC for your game, and use your old PC to play Movie.

I tried it and it works fine, full screen on the second display and a full screen directx game on my primary. Perhaps it's an ati issue. Works with both WMP and VLC using an Nvidia card.

thats takes up room add more heat to my room and takes more time meaning i have to share hd via 100mb cable or sumit which isnt worth it, i just cant seem to get in working!! tried the multires/powerstrip programs with no luck,

yeah back in the day when i had my 6600 it worked great...mite be an ati thing
