I wouldn't OC that at all until those temps get fixed. They are extremely hot at the moment. Maybe something is wrong with your nautiliss?

Replace the stock cooler with something more powerful before you do any overclocking, those temps are way to high.

I agree with JC316. Something's wrong.

The idle temps on my QX6700 are about 38C using air (coretemp).
63C at 100% (orthos) is not bad, but why the temp diffs between coretemp and Asus PC2 ?

I would do more checking before overclocking.

Is it possible the CPU block is hosed backwards, like the block only flows one way. The first time I did a pressure test on my DD TDX block I did that myself. This would cause limited flow and high temps!

This water cooling stucked so well to the CPU ... there is no way i can check on thermal paste or how tight it is...like the copper pad clipped onto the motherboard. There is only way to check it that remove all parts to get to the back of motherboard, then put off the clips.
I bought this pc.... not builted it tho.

damn it! :banghead:

It sounds like you aren't getting much water flow. The pump may be bad, or something.

Make sure your water block is fastened down firmly.

Sounds to me like you've applied the thermal paste wrong or you haven't secured your water block.

i checked the pump. It's blowing like crazy tho.

Dumb question..."Blowing" as in air??!!. Does the reservoir have WATER in it??

Also your Vcore should be about 1.5(appx) to get that OC. But, NOT untill you get those temps under controll.

:toast:

When i look you coretemp readings i see something familiar... core#0 & core#1 is significantly hoter than core#2 & core#3.
I have same problem and i know ihs is not straight and my waterblock touch few condensators nearby socket so contact is bad...
I'm going to show some sandpaper to ihs and fix block fittings, i hope it fix cpu temps...

Now idle temps are 47,45,38,42 and load 72,71,62,64
Q6600@ 3600Mhz, 1,5vcore
