Hello folks.
I have been reading on the new and older Xeon processors by Intel. What stands out is that a number of different sockets are used for these processors. And of course, different motherboards fit different sockets.
I want to get a new computer, basically very basic, but very powerful, for the purpose of rendering digital art.
I want to put two Xeon processors on one motherboard, and have the option of later including a high end video card for processing information/rendering also (not gameing).
Could you help me in understanding the advantages/deficits of the various sockets, and what might be most effective for my purpose.
Thanks.
