Hiiii, i am brand new here and also a new owner of a 4070ti from asus the tuf oc edition

While testing i realized that while playing game everything seems fine but once idling and core clock stabilize to around 250 gpuz says perfcap reason pwr while it should be idle . Is that normal for the 40 series . I thought power was only while gaming and you have reach the power limit.

I tested with other software and says the same thing power limit 1 while idle

If your card isn't boosting, you got either a faulty read, your power connectors aren't plugged-in correctly (I assume no adapters on cables the way between PSU and GPU) OR your card is faulty (power read circuit is busted). Which power source get's PWR ? (6- or 8-pin, or PCI-e slot) ?
Above can be checked with GPU-z under Sensors tab.

Are you using a second monitor ? are you using V-sync, G-sync Free-sync ect all can make your gpu run fast on idle.
