Creative drivers are pure evil... you will have to use the old driver sweeper, it looked for creative keys fine...

Hi sound card installed and music and games a lot clearer and more sounds, and there is a difference for the better. The only problem is with the Sound Blaster control panel it either wont open or opens up to the desktop but is blank and I cannot set anything.

That is somewhat bizarre. Did you sweep your drivers beforehand?

I don't think the onboard sound is supose to work with the normal creative drivers as it's my understanding the motherboard does not have an X-Fi chip on it but just a realtek audio chip that has been licenced to work with creative software.

If i have missed something i'm sorry but did you try the drivers from gigabyte and follow the instructions it says?

From what i see you need to install the realtek driver first then i would restart the pc then install the creative software from the gigabyte site.

Hi yes I ran the driver sweeper and removed all creative and realtek drivers and used the ones you said you used RCoon. I noticed the XFi3 from the motherboard was still in the creative start menu so I went into the setup and turned it off, the problem only happens every now and again I think there must be something conflicting with the Creative side of things, I haven't tried it in another directory, if it gets really annoying I can always format the system it doesn't take long, but I am glad I got the card.
