Sony will be releasing the PSP in pink as well it seems. It will come with the usual "Value Pack" accessories and will cost 229€ or £169. Still, Sony pulled the official release, so they're apparently not yet ready to talk about the pink PSP.

Why not release it in colors people actually want. I have the black one and have no problem wih black, I like it, but I think if I could have another color it would probably not be pink.

    Having worked in sales (consoles)...

Pink is a hot color for sure...girls are a huge market, and singstar already helped Sony to reach some female gamers. Making it pink will reach more than some might expect...

there is a reason why Nintendo will release a pink DS Lite...

    cheers

'tis true - pink mobile phones were a huge success, and whilst its probably still true that the biggest market for PSPs and the like are male, girls DO play games and if Sony are releasing it, you can bet they've done their homework.
