This is really impressive stuff. I used to think LG OLED was going to be my next tv, but I think I am going to wait for a similar AI to arrive to those tv's before I get one. This technology is going to change everything, the video mentions movies/sports motion clarity, creating pixels that were never there similar to frame gen (except this is software based)... I could definitely see this being a game changer in the world of immersive entertainment in a general sense.

QSR is Samsung only for now, it will be interesting to see the developments on this stuff over the years though.

edit: just realized this should be in the TV/audio forum, if a mod wants to move it be my guest, I don't know how

one of the things a lot forget, most tv brands have ZERO to do with content.
one of the main reason sony could keep up with other brands while use "identical" panels, as its about the processing.
supported by things like the winter olympics in S.Korea being broadcast by Sony, not LG or Samsung,
or that Samsung stopped places like Best Buy doing side by side comparison of content by staff/reps.

sure this is all pre-ai and such, but even with AI, having a (large) catalog of content to work with,
will probably still help.

while i havent seen any of their recent OLEDS, i have never seen a samsung doing any motion processing i like,
and ignoring they wont even let you turn it completely off, like sony, to "watch as (content maker) intended"..

e.g. much easier to show "double the output" on a 200HP 2-door hatchback, than it is using a 700HP Lambo.

Ah yes, the next chip that will make TVs give us the best evar image. Except its not the source content.

And every time, we see artifacts.

Samsung marketing parrot... little else.

except there is difference between doing things like improving motion, vs making an elephant out of a penguin (for simple terms)...
