Hahaha. That's a good idea. Did you notice the performance hit a lot when downgrading to the 380? I have a little bit of regret not getting the 970, but it's so expensive in Canada

Oh yeah. Mainly i play Arma 3, with GTX970 i was playing on ultra settings, now: textures "very high", x4 AA, 2400m view distance and everything else on "low" and even with that i get much lower FPS. But it's a good thing, can you imagine how happy i will be to get GTX1070 after all this "suffering"?

EDIT: I'm not saying that R9 380 is a bad card in any way. Arma 3 is poorly optimized resource hog.

If they will over-price it, i might get the R9 490. AMD drivers are OK now, no issues in Arma 3 what so ever.

Well some unfortunate news. The new Corsair Hx750i didn't solve the buzzing

. Went to my local retailer and they said RMAing the card would take a couple months so that's out of the question. I'll have to live with the buzzing and hope the card holds up!

i have gotten coil whine on gpu's with high end power supplies, be aware that you might still have it even after spending that money on a new PSU.
also, Some AIB's might not allow a RMA over coil whine anylonger. I dont know that is a fact, but coil whine can be a part of GPU's normal use, and regrettably AIB's might not want to replace for solely it on its own.

My HD4870x2 had a really bad coil whine, yet still working fine in my mates PC. I wouldn't worry about it too much

I had plans to upgrade the PSU you anyway as I wanted something more efficient and could handle a dual GPU setup. No worries man.

The thing is XFX said there's a 90% chance it's a bad GPU, yet everywhere else I look or what other users tell me is I have nothing to worry about. I'm keeping the card. If it fails, I'm out 300$. That's life.

just turn up the speakers or use a headset.
