yeah its a very nice card, glad i got it , but i think its still a bit too new , i cant use rivatuner with it yet , dosent help that i'm running windows7, and i dont think windows 7 is appreciating it much,

my windows experience score went down, not the base score that stayed the same at 5.9, let down by disk data transfer rate(5.9) , all the others were 7.2/7.3, i was trying to figure out why i was getting 5.9 on disk transfer ? but now i installed the 5870 and.

graphics: desktop performance for windows aero went from 7.3 to 6.0

gaming graphics: 3d business and gaming graphics performance from 7.2 to 6.0

surely this should have gone up not down ?

i've reinstalled drivers and uninstalled old ones before installation,

Don't worry about your W7 index score.

More important is that your HD4770 is running fast and cool and performing in games and benchmarks.

I say windows experience index is screwed up.
Don't worry about M$ the card actually performs better is all it matters. :toast:

As a side note, you are getting 5.9 for HDD is because you are using an HDD not SSD.
But I do get a 7.8 for my graphics.
M$ ratings are always crap anyways.

Yes, the "recommended drivers for 5800 series" is CCC 9.10 RC6.
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/ATIRadeonHD5800seriesrecommendedgraphicsdriver.aspx

You ca always use the driver that comes with the CD and upgrade later, but my HIS CD comes with RC6 already.
