Hey guys, how are raid 5 speeds?

would 3x samsung f3 250gb's in raid 5 be equivalent to 2x samsung f3's in raid 0 but with parity?

Yep, pretty much. I think they even say it on the Wiki article for RAID.

Here is the HDTach of my 3x Seagate 1.5TB 7200.11 drives in RAID5 on a Highpoint RocketRAID 2300:

Now keep in mind that this is likely bottlenecked by the PCI-E x1 interface on the RAID card.

what about onboard raid

Audio Device(s)	Onboard- Why get an sound card when you can hum??
Power Supply	Antec NeoHe 550-manufactured by seasonic -replacement to the discontinued smart power series
