Will a Single Core Venice 3000+ 939 overlcocked to 3Ghz rape a X2 Dual Core 3800+ Manchester???

no - my Venice got mothball'd along with my FX-55 clawhammer

though i did have the venice at least 2.7Ghz stable last time i had it ina fully working system.

sadly the o/c options on the mobo were severly limited so thats as far as i could push it

I would still side with the dual core chip. At least half of it can handle O/S processes while the other half is at your beckoning call.

in synthetics etc the dual core would win.. in single threaded gaming the single core would.
