My Setup:
MB: Gigabyte B660 Aorus Pro DDR4
CPU: Core i5 12600kf
RAM: 2x16 Kingston Fury Beast
NVME: XPG S70 Blade 1TB
PSU: MSI MPG A850GF
My PC has a GTX 1070 and it works perfectly.
I bought a used ASUS DUAL RTX 3070 and the PC turns on but does not generate an image.
It's not a driver problem, because the computer doesn't even generate an image in the BIOS, it's just a black screen.
I suspected that it was a defect in the video card, so I installed the 3070 in another friend's computer, it worked perfectly on his computer.
I thought it was a defect in my power supply, so I ended up buying a new power supply, an XPG Pylon 650w, but it wasn't a defect in the power supply, as the problem continued.
I tested several different HDMIs and DisplayPorts cables on different VGA ports and also tested the computer on other monitors and TVs, without success.
I suspected it was an outdated BIOS, so I updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version (F22), still to no avail.
So I updated the 3070's BIOS on another computer, that didn't work either.
I also did the memory tests, removing one and testing individually. I also tested with different memories from other brands, without success.
I also checked the installation of the power supply cables, it is installed correctly as per the instruction manual. Installed with 2 individual 8-pin cables.
As a last attempt, I tried to uninstall any type of driver before installing the 3070, but I was not successful either.
I also tested an RTX 2070 super on my PC, and it also worked flawlessly, as did the GTX 1070.
I have no idea what it could be.
Has anyone had this problem?
obs:
