OK, I know this is a bit off topic but I'm hoping some allowance can be made since the gifts are first, science related and second, pretty cool.
There's a list of 23 gifts in all and you have things from aerogels to ferro-fluids to Martian and lunar meteorite pieces.
Here are some of my favorites
A kickstarter project where you can buy either the seeds or a grown plant that will glow in the dark. Yes, a living plant that glows with bioluminescence.
Ferro-fluids
A shower curtain that you may have seen on the Big Bang Theory - periodic table. I have this one and it's held up really well. No mold or mildew at all.
