to max out my system. Here is what I have so far:
ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe Motherboard (BIOS v 1016)
AMD Athlon X2 3800+ @2.0GHz
BFG 7800GTX OC 256 @460MHz/650MHz Hope to get another one for SLI
Twinx2048-4000PT 2 gigs but one has bought the farm, besides I want something faster.
Plextor PX230A CD Burner. will be getting a new DVD burner soon.
Lite-on DVD-ROM. cheap but it plays my DVDs

I do plan on installing a 2-stage Peltier/water cooling system to keep things cool while doint
some very aggressive overclocking. I will be putting Peltiers on the CPU and both GPUs as well
as on the Southbridge and possibly the RAM and HDD's

What I need to know is, what is the best/fastest ram I can get in 1GB sticks?
Should I go for Low Latency or High clockspeeds?
are there any DDR600 1G sticks out there? even at 3-4-4-8-2t? at 2.9V

Thanks for your help.

Higher clock speeds, no doubt. I've had the best luck with OCZ. I've had both gold and platinum sets that have OC'd stable very well. In addition, if you can find a Dual channel set from OCZ that includes a rebate, you'll actually get it.

i have the same modules Twinx2048-4000PT and i am satisfy
i wood invest in a faster cpu
you gonna need a lot of power (power supply)
take care about the space between the 2 vga (coolink)
i am running a crossfire system and i face this space problem
a fast system is not only motherboard cpu and memory
but also a fast drive in raid 0

and maybe you can take a look heer for more answers of you questions

The speed of your RAM becomes less important when your cache gets bigger or faster. So upgrading your to faster CPU and/or more cache, will, in itself, improve memory performance.

Also, while memory timing (e.g. DDR -3T vs -2.5T vs -2T) can be tweaked, if you do a benchmark, you will see the gain is miniscule. A much bigger gain is obtained from upgrading the CPU just one level than using -2T over -3T memory.

The only truely good thing about -2T memory, is that it will work at -3T at very high FSB speeds without a divider. And the memory speed, 133, 200, 233, 266, 333, 400 etc. DOES make a difference.

As far as CPU speed

goes, I am already pushing it to 2.5GHz by running the Twinx2048-4000PT at the rated 250MHz.
I have already pushed it to 10x260MHz or 2.6GHz with stock HSF, but as I said I WILL be using a 115W
Peltier Thermo-electric cooler along with water cooling on the CPU, Peltier cooler and water cooling on
both GPU's and water on the Chipset along with the RAM and HDDs.

With this CPU and memory that can hit 300MHz I can get the CPU up to 3.0GHZ.
If i want to go faster later I can always get an FX-60 and use the same cooling system
to go as high as 3.9GHz, (Theoretically anyways) but I need to get some PC4800 to go that fast.
