Are you at 1080P? A GTX 970 would serve you much better at that resolution, with your needs than the 960. Aside from that, nothing major sticks out.

The SSD.. I would have paid a bit more to grab a 250GB drive, preferably an 850 EVO. The Kingston (assuming it's the V300) had a lot of problems and 120GB doesn't go far.

After that, maybe grab a cooler for the 6600K and overclock it :)

I'd say bigger SSD for sure. 256-512GB, for the OS and all software and games. Maybe a bigger HD also.

Unless you are sure you have a specific need for the extra vram, 4GB on a GTX 960 is pretty much a waste. Better to spring for a GTX 970 then anyway.

I'd get a better PSU also. Go for high quality and efficiency. Read up.

Not sure if this an existing build you are wanting upgrade suggestions for or a build you're about to do. Sounds like the former so I will go from there. What would help is your budget.

Graphics card is the first thing I'd upgrade (like the two above me said) ...970 at least, if this is an existing build than maybe wait till Pascal comes out and buy then

If this is a build you are about to do and haven't bought anything other than the SSD yet than a 6700k might work for you since you are doing video editing but only if you do a lot. On that note, you should have a bigger HDD as video files are huge.

The Corsair CX line is definitely their entry line up, I would bump up to the next tier if you can afford it. If you already own this system and PSU, leave it for now. Graphics card is the only thing that truly stands out though. Other stuff is for more headroom.

I'm building a similar setup, I'm probably buying a Asus Strix GTX960 4GB myself or I do it with intel HD530 graphics at first and maybe wait for Nvidia Pascal if the price is right..., I can still play my games on my laptop for now.
What cooler will you buy? I'm going for a CM212 evo.
Buy a bigger SSD so you can install your most used software and games on it like a samsung 850 Evo 500GB with 5 years warranty or a 850 pro 512GB with 10 years warranty.

The 380X should be very similarly priced and would blow the 960 out of the water ;)

you honestly might find better value in lga 1150 with something like i7 4770-xeon 1231v3. give you 8 threads and with a reasonably price mobo you may be able to upgrade your gpu to a r9 390 or gtx 970 and beef up your power supply. could stretch your money further and get a used i7 on ebay or something. It could be worth it if your able to upgrade to a 980 or fury. cpu's can last 10 years and keep on going especially if they have not been overclocked.

Note** I have a Kingston 120gb SSD for my OS on the way.
120GB SSD is pretty fine, you just need that drive for your OS and primary working programs, all games can be run from HDD, i have my rig mostly for gaming but also i manage some sites, graphics and also animations, no video editing yet but someday running full Adobe CS5, also remote desktop conections and some management on some servers... all of this on my 64GB M4 SSD from crucial,
for my games on steam / Origin i have a 320GB Seagate HDD and for craps like movies, music photos.... i have a 2TB seagate HDD...
So your 120GB its pretty fine lad, dont worry,

The SSD.. I would have paid a bit more to grab a 250GB drive, preferably an 850 EVO. The Kingston (assuming it's the V300) had a lot of problems and 120GB doesn't go far.
why more? he has enough space on HDD's ... SSD will be a boost on OS and working or primary programs...

I know I will need to upgrade some components I am just wondering what you all suggest I Upgrade first.

if you could upgrade Video Card and PSU you sistem will be extra fine lad, also do a please for all of us, Filling this!

Because ewwwww, games installed on an HDD ;)

Copying back and forth and reinstalling games is a lot of trouble to go through, in my opinion, just to save ~$40.

pointless... no reason to get larger SSD's... also there is no notable difference on gaming in SSD's or HDD's ...

Regards,

As far as I know, newer games run better on SSD (faster texture loading).

any examples?
have tried some of my games and the unique noticeable difference may be loading time, and that still no reason to use them because is just loading screens while the game loads a new episode or starts, game experience is only affected by video card and i some cases ram or processor, SSD or HDD is just the place its stored lad... won't affect the experience again ...

Load times is the difference I had in mind. No difference once you're in-game for HDD vs. SSD. I consider 250GB to be the minimum. Too many friends with 120s having to reinstall games every time we decide to play one we haven't in a month. Not worth the $40 saved in my opinion.

Regards,

It may not effect FPS.... or at least noticeably.... But it certainly makes games load much much faster.... And while I only have anecdotal evidence from playing GTA V.... it does seem to load textures faster.

The difference in loading a MP game on BF4 is like 30-40 seconds faster on an SSD. (You get all vehicles first :) )

This is the big one which comes to mind for me as well. I played on a friend's PC recently with an HDD and was waiting for a map to load. I waited for a second, looked at my phone... sorta forgot what I was doing and looked back up, still on the loading screen... "wait, is the game frozen?" Nope, just still loading. I will never go back :)

256 wont hold that many of todays 30 to 40 gig games ether.. :)

but i go for a small operating system ssd drive.. plus a much larger ssd for my games.. it just comes down to how much you can or want to spend..

my 126 operating system drive has around 42 gigs on it and i dont see it growing much.. slow loading games do piss me off though.. even from an ssd they aint that quick..
