It's funny because, I was just coming back to tell you guys what I got, and that is the board I chose. Since I don't feel I will use Tri-SLI and it has the pci-e above video cards for a sound card.

Anyways here is what I ordered this morning.

New Case
Motherboard
Processor
Memory
SoundCard
I also picked up some SATA hard drives so I can ditch the IDE one I have.
This stuff with my 9800GTX SLI. Should get me close to 20,000 in 3dmark06 right???

Either way comments are welcome.

Q6600 @3.0Ghz G0 stepping - 2GB ram @667mhz - only GTS320MB OC by me =12300 in 3dmark06
you could get more score by overclocking your CPU a little bit more...i'd say 3,6-3,7ghz on air with 1,4v-1,45v

I got 12K by using E6300@3430mhz

@dendrobates
you forgot to add one items. HSF. you'll need it if you want to overclock your processor.
with Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme and a good fan(s), you could reach 4ghz daily :D

Update Time

Ok so I got everything together and threw an old copy of XP home on there to run 3dmark06.

The results are in.......... 15718!!!

This was on stock clocks so once I push that E8500 up a bit I think I can get pretty close to 20,000. Either way it's almost double the stock score of my old computer with the same video cards.

I want to thank you guys for pointing out my cpu, mb, and ram were holding me back. I can put a computer together in my sleep, but some of the subtleties of hardware interaction escape me.

Thanks again everyone.
