TBH I would upgrade the core side of things such as your mobo, cpu and ram. That will then see the true potential of the card you have bought. It's a great card when balanced with a good subsystem.

Don't do it! I have 2 machines bothe running the same everything apart from the GPUs. I have a GTX 550ti in one and a GTX460 in the other one. The 460 machine is only a little faster on 3DMark 11 but there's not much in it.

Oh shit, your still using a orignal phenom CPU? Upgrade that before you upgrade anything else. Even when the Phenom 9750 was new, it was considered crap performance wise(all first gen AMD Phenom CPUs were like this). A AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz 4 ... would be my advise without having to rebuild the whole system.

Agreed. Upgrade to a Phenom II chip, or go with all new AM3+ platform and get BD later. The CPU/Memory bandwidth upgrades will make a world of difference, even with a gtx 460!
