Solving audio problem with new case....

Got a new case for my system some weeks back and after putting it all together no sound was produced from the audio jack imputes all efforts to a repairer have been fruitless.Is it possible to change to audio cord that connects to the motherboard with the one in my previous case?

Or you can just try unplugging the cord from the motherboard that goes to the front of the case and plug speakers into the jacks on the header in the back of the pc.
