sound card advice

Hi I have a asus extreme striker motherboard which came with a supreme fx sound card.
My question is can this card be upgraded to the fx II,
will it be compatable with the motherboard.
Or can I upgrade to any sound card bearing in mind compatability and also the small audio slot where the fx card is fitted

If that card goes into "that small slot" (i guess its PCI-express x1), it will be compatible... There isnt such thing as mobo and s-card compatability as far as i know, only slots must match.

Well this is a bit off the subject, but I got my G35 logitech headset and I installed the driver with anticipation and you know what I am really impressed with these.

Uses the USB port and I get 7.1 surround with these headphones and in game absolutley awesome.

Well the Supreme FX 1 and 2 is just an ADI audio codec you would find on a motherboard but on a card, if you really wanna upgrade buy a real sound card
