Speaker for new TV under $100

My dad got a new Vizio 47" lcd TV and he wants to put it in are new garage, he wants speaker to go with the tv for better sound but he doesn't want to spend more or around $100 would like 2.1 or 5.1 that can be easy to set up with decent sound im not a audio person :cool:

was looking at Logitech x-540 but im not for sure how matrix mode works? or i can go with custom sound.

Look on Craigslist. I have found decent 5.1 system on there for $100, and they are better than any Logitech crap.

No receiver, but at $100 for the pair those are some excellent speakers. Much better than most of the shit you will find at a place like Best Buy.

Thank you for the suggestions I am looking at the Klipsch. But today newegg has a deal for PHILIPS HTS3371D/F7 5.1 Channel Home Theater System Is this any good or better?

Personally, I would stick with the pro media over that cheap 5.1
Obviously your choice, but in a garage, 2.1 is enough unless this is being turned into a home theater style garage. If it is the latter, then I would save those pennies.
