The Streacom DA2 is a clean and understated ITX chassis featuring a level of flexibility usually reserved for larger cases. With its unique mounting bars, you can realize most scenarios, from a multi-terabyte storage solution to an air or liquid-cooled gaming rig.

Beautiful. Node 304 is still my favourite but I love quality ITX cases that allow ATX PSU and clearance for tower CPU coolers

I watched a review on this case and if i were building a SFF rig, this case would be my choice.

LOVE this chassis!

Finally, something a bit different with some actual human thought behind it. :)

Gf wants one in black, so we're buying it. Can use a Seasonic Platinum 500watt fanless ATX-size, yet shorter length to give more room inside the case. Probably pick up both the glass and ventilated panels and interchange for an alternating aesthetic during use.

It's not going to run as super-ice-cold as my Batman primary open air rig, but gf needs a "kitty cat proof" case in her small office space in the family room.

Only issue is, we've got no hand-me-down ITX motherboard to go inside - never owned one. So over the course of Rocket Lake > Alder Lake > Meteor Lake > Mystery Lake will pick up an ROG ITX board. (Unless EVGA announces an ITX DARK board, lol) :D

Will go with a hand-me-down Intel Optane 900P PCIe SSD, AMD WX-4100 workstation graphics (2) Samsung 860 Pro 256GB SATA SSDs, and hand-me-down Noctua NH-C14S cooler.

Outstanding review once again Darksaber.

This is one case to REALLY purchase! ...and love it.

gf: love it forever and ever. :D

welcome to the world of good sff cases. It’sactually quite reasonable, considering the flexibility and size. Good atx cases are not cheap either.

Now cut it in half, and place the power supply on top of the video card in front of the motherboard, and cut the price in half too.

iirc those cases are usually expensive because they are not being mass produced. The ncase, the dan case, the louque ghost are all around 200€. And mainstream case makers don't really do optimized premium Itx case. Corsair went custom, and everyone else are doing cases that are on the larger side (not as big as the prodigy days though).

Nzxt is the only one really trying, but they decided to sell a psu and a wc aoi with it, so it cost 349€.

But the streacom appears to be widely available eveywhere, so they might actually get a nice margin...

Nice, but I'd still rather a Thermaltake Core V1.

It's fatter than NCase M1.
My NCase M1 has thinner body, lower idle & Prime95 Small FFTs temperatures.
(9600K + Alpenfohn Atlas + Coffeelake-modded ASUS ROG M8I, idle 31C, P95 63C)
(This picture is my formal build which is 6850K + X99 ITX + Noctua D9DX, idle 28C P95 66C)
So I'll pass.

From where I am (Vancouver, Canada), both the NCase M1 and the Streacom DA2 would be in the 285-300€ range after taxes and shipping. As much as I would love either case, that is a large chunk of change that I could use for a second 2TB SSD or a portion going towards a GPU. I was looking for an ITX case earlier this year (mid-March) when I was building my Ryzen machine. In the end, I went back to the go-to case, the Raijintek Metis (which fortunately was still being sold by the egg). It's not the perfect case but it is still aluminum. It's not as beautiful as the NCase or the Streacom but is still pretty minimalistic and I can live with this considering it is well under 1/4 the price of either case. I've never had issues with the thermals so overall, I am glad that I was able to fit a huge NHD15 cooler for my build. The Raijintek Metis (13.4L) is slightly bigger than the NCase M1 (12.6L) but slightly smaller than the Streacom DA2 (17.5L).

It's compatible with up to 280mm AIO, not just 240mm.
It's written on the first page of the product presentation, web and pdf.

My recent Metis Plus mod. Inside is 3900X, Asus Crosshair VIII Impact, GTX1660Ti, HyperX 64GB DDR4-3200@4133C18, Samsung 970 Evo, Enermax 650W SFX PSU, Noctua fans@700-800RPM, Noctua U12A on the CPU. Additional mods let to lower temps to the level of a large case. There are no issues with throttling or noise.

Re review, you can find a similar looking cases like Kolink Rocket for half of the Streacom price and not much worse looking. Depends on the country, some other brands are available and often cheaper.

I built a home theater PC using a Streacom F1C-WS and a Pico PSU. It is one of my all time favorite builds. Nice cases that are expensive and for a niche market.

not liking the single usbc in front, cant stand reaching around the back constantly to install my flash drives and external hard drives.

I'm thinking a case like this more likely intended for people / purposes favoring the cleaner aesthetic like living room machines and or people who find the old mac towers appealing. (I could certainly appreciate another understated port or two, but I can see the point. A lot of their products seemed to lean that way, minimalist and clean, but flexible, if memory serves.)

I agree that it's pricey, but I have paid similarly for 'specialized' and/or nice cases in the past.

You can definitely go either way, and I have. You can buy a $50-80 case and find a handful that are decent and meet minimal needs, or spend well north of $100 USD, and get something with superior fit and finish, with nice design elements / quality craftsmanship, 'stronger/more rigid cases', with items like rounded edges inside, proper fitting cable-guides / anti-vibration dampers, noise dampening panels, dust-filters, and nice heavy (not thin-tin) output panels. All of these little details can really make real differences during the build and in the final product. It's all about choice.

I could potentially see using a horizontally oriented variant of this as a living room head unit which could look clean and fit perfectly into an entertainment center, and not just be a PC tower up by the TV. Alternatively this could look well at home on a graphic artist's desk.
