Suggest showing exact Windows 10/11 OS version string in the Driver Version line/box tooltip.
E.g. show "Windows 10 Professional ver. 22H2/21H2, or Windows 11 Home ver. 23H2/22H2/etc. :)

What do you think, please?

This works too. :) Good idea. But it is longer.

(Of course, no problem having a big/long tooltip, but W1zzard should decide how long is OK. :) )

Sure. My thought is the build number is to help ensure no ambiguity in case there are multiple builds released in the span of 22H2 for example.
shorter version "Win10 Pro 22H2 (19045.3930)"

Could be useful (maybe?), but I am not sure if the drivers are nowadays actually tied to an OS version or build? I thought that, at least in NV case, the 10 and 11 driver is actually the same, isn’t it? Just require a feature update that’s not too outdated. Someone could correct me if I am wrong. So, is this just to have a quick lookup for your version of Win in the same place as the driver info? I am just trying to understand what the practical consideration here is.

Yes, to be able to easily check exact Windows OS version (optionally build string too), without needing to resort to other tools. :)
(such as winver, Command Prompt/PowerShell, Windows 10/11 Settings/About, or Speccy, AIDA64, CPU-Z/etc)

Just as CPU temp and Memory load show in Sensors, despite not being GPU-related. :)

But you don’t need any of the above. The exact version is already available in the settings app on the System-About tab. Not sure how much more available can it get.

Edit: Ah, I see your edit. Alright then, if you just want it all in one place and that place to be GPU-Z, then why not, it’s not an unreasonable ask I suppose. Don’t see the need, personally, but hey, more info is always good.

You mean System as a part of WIndows 10/11 OS, yes? :)
I know that. I did not mean that!

I mean show it in GPU-Z, so NOT the same thing. :)

That would mean splitting it into two lines, not sure if worth the screen space taken .. I rather add a line for cache sizes, especially L2, which is something you really can't find easily anywhere else?

No, I am not asking to add an extra line to main view/screen.

I am asking to add it into the tooltip.

I am pretty sure tooltip can easily have 2-3 lines, or more.
(or a wall of text too - of course, not recommended or good practice)

ah, I missed that

Thanks. :)

Of course, if planning to add an extra line, that is great too! :)
And you should put whatever you think is most useful in that new line.
