T.V. tuner card questions

Anyone have this?Tuner cards seem to be the new craze here in Calif.Due to the excesses of the cable companies.
questions..
do they work?
do you need a subscription?
What kind of channels come in? sports ,local channels,etc.??
what bandwith is needed?
whats the setup like?
any and all info welcome..

-They do work
-You do not need a subscription
-You will get all local over the air channels. If you want to get cable channels you need cable.
-Minimal bandwidth is needed
-Setup differs from tuner to tuner. Generally, you install the drivers can use Windows Media Center.
