Temp programs

Is there anything other than Speedfan? Also, Everest doesn't like my comp for some reason and doesn't display the right temps.

Coretemp, Sandra Lite, Systool, RightMark CPU clock utility...those are pretty good. I prefer Coretemp because it gives individual core temps and is easy to use.

I tried CoreTemp once and my computer rebooted (!) when I pressed the icon of the program... what's up with that? :twitch:

youre on an asus board, so use what came with it, pc probe.

Sorry that was out of line, couldn't resist saying it though. Shame I can't infract myself.

For temp monitoring I personally use Everest since it is the only program so far that reads out my harddisks and other things. However, since that doesn't work for you I'd go for Sandra which is a similar program in many aspects.

The coretemp issue might be some silly driver, if you haven't tried it for a while you can try it again, perhaps the issue is solved already, Or of course update Windows+drivers. If it still doesn't work try it under safe mode.

ya i had the same problem...i dont use it anymore...pisses me off...i returned 2 sticks of perfectly good ram because i thought they were causing the problem.... O well.. price dropped $20 on the ram about a week after i got it so i came out ontop....

Nemesis and I have tried figuring out his mobo many times....he built his computer with parts all bought for newegg, yet his mobo gives him no BIOS options and PcProbe doesn't work because it says it's not an ASUS board.

mine does that too(on coretemp 0.95), its fine on 0.94 though, i really should reinstall windows (its the same install rig#2 in my specs was running on, but it still works, so it can wait)

anus probe is just crap though, it keeps having a flid out over one of my fans running too slow for it to register, even though i disabled sounds, a f*%£ing alarm keeps going off when it thinks the fan has failed

its some kind of conflict with windows (not hardware) as it done it when i was still on amd too

I think my mobo is defective lol.

But yea, I tried coretemp. I ran it for 10 minutes, went to get something to eat, came back and my computer was off!!
