The new Golden Ax

A lot of you guys were probably to young to play the original Golden Ax in the arcades but it used to be one of my favorite games. Well at the time it was awesome and the graphics were sick. I mean to go from playing Q-Bert and Dig Dug to this was awesome.

Well now they decided to bring it back after being gone since 1989 with a prequle "Golden Ax: Beast Riders". Sadly it wont be for PC but you guys with an 360 or PS3 have to tell me how it is. If need by Ill buy a damn system to play this.

i had it on megadrive or genesis as the yanks call it!

it was the shit! honest i loved the little dwarf with the axe, the level where you are on an eagle fighting and the last level

check out the band megadriver website to get heavy metal remakes of old sega music the main guy has a guitar that is inside a megadrive LOL

this game better be good!

To bad you never played the original arcade version! It was a 100x better than the Genesis or Master System versions.

WTF the woman is not a good choice for main character in this new game the guy sure hes balanced but her shes just good with magic. The Dwarf on the other hand is uber he can charge at enemies.

the dwarf was always the character to be. The big guy was just a doofus. I played it on sega genesis and I hope to god they make this version good.

Though i have a feeling it could just be bad... so many good old game remakes have gone horribly wrong

From what I heard, though I cannot remember which magazine I read it in, you are only playing as the woman... no other playable characters. That my friends, is annoying

programs like MAME will let you play a lot of these kinda games, I think golden axe is on it as well... the arcade version that is, windows version lets you use a gamepad as well...

Oh, if only this would come out for PC. I wouldnt hesitate to buy it.
