Talk about anything and everything CoD: Ghosts on here.
Ok, I got my DVD delivered right on launch day today (thanks Amazon) and installed the game under Steam - downloaded, no discs. Works fine mostly, but straight away noticed a couple of glitches while configuring it, both to do with video settings.
vsync is always on even when set to off in the game and application controlled in the NVIDIA driver (latest 331.65).
The monitor refresh rate can't be set properly. 120Hz sets to 110Hz, 110 sets to 100 and 100 sets to 60. 60 sets properly to 60 however.
No dealbreakers though and I expect these little things to be ironed out soon. Still, it's odd that they're there in a final release.
The graphics look superb of course for a new AAA game and my cards could run it with no dropped frames at my custom settings while I was setting it up and testing. Unsurprisingly, it pushes the graphics cards hard and the fans spin right up.
I've barely begun to play it (singleplayer) so I don't have anything else on it yet.
I'm running a 2700K (not currently overclocked) 2 x GTX 580 3GB in SLI, 16GB RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

UPDATE 11.11.2013
What's in that 21GB patch:
Some unofficial patch notes:
- The Operations page is now showing total kills required, instead of showing certain level requirements, and in private match, you can add 6 rounds in SnD, and make the timer 1.5 minutes per round.
- The ”devgru intimidator” operation has also been increased from from 150 to 300.
- There's now a new mute screen, which allows you to select specific players to mute, or mute all.
- Fix for the issue where players weren’t able to change the person they were spectating in S&R.
- Operations items have been changed – you need to spend squad points to unlock certain ones, and thus it shows exactly what you need to unlock certain items.
The above is from an article commenting on the PS3 patch, but from what I've read, these are changes being made across all platforms. Of course it also probably fixes the Steam overlay problems as mentioned.

IMO Extinction Mode doesn't look that interesting. It's L4D/PayDay style play that can be done solo or up to 4 person coop with VERY repetitious gameplay putting drills on alien hives. It's just too cartoonish and shallow for me to take it seriously.
