Have a 9800 GTX+ right now.

What I'm wondering, is it the best value? My total budget for a card is $300, though value is more important than raw performance for me, and closer to $200 the card is, the better.

More importantly I wonder, how much power would it need?

I currently have this power supply.

Rosewill RP550-2 550W ATX12V v2.01 Power Suppl...

Enough? Barely?
What would be a good replacement?

Thanks for any help in advance.

(Also the specs to the left are completely wrong, haven't had a chance to update them in a while, so please ignore them.)

i'd settle for a 6850

but always in the end it's up to the consumer himself to decide

From the horses mouth.

550 Watt minimum.

If you do go GTX 470, get a GTX 470 Super Overclock from Gigabyte ($309 Newegg)
http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=26228&page=8

Consume less power than a stock 470 but quieter and cooler.

HXL492 says go for 6850 but the 6870 ($250-270 Newegg) runs within 1-2% of a 470 (not a SOC 470 mind) and is very much easier on the PSU.

But if you can be like me, wait for the HD 6970 release (Dec 13th) before buying - it might have an effect on prices.
