Thunderbolt Display PC?

Not sure if it's a stroke of luck, but I have a neighbor who is giving me ONE of his Thunderbolt displays because he is moving.

I said yes of course to the offer. Now my question is it possible to use the TBD on PC? I have HD 7970.

I can't find anything solid online so was wondering if anyone here has any insight on this matter.

Afaik its based on displayport and any displayport mini cable should fit and work a display fine, the 7970 has displayport outs, happy days:)

Okay I just wanted to give an update on the situation. I finally got the monitor, wasn't the thunderbolt. It was the iMac. Still 2560x1440.

In order to get the iMac display to work with my 7970 you need a straight mini dp to mini dp cable. Can't use any adapters. Won't work, tried a couple different ones.

So once everything is plugged in you login into the apple computer and with the apple keyboard you press cmmd F2 to switch over to windows.

Just updating just in case anyone has any questions. Works beautifully.

Going to start running some games and will post results if anyone is interested enough. ^^
