Search around for some reviews. The reason that price is so cheap is because it's a shell shocker.

Also note that there is ONLY a one year warranty on that supply.

specs look great, beats my namebrand psu. i agree with others-- read around a bit first to be sure there aren't any horror stories. then take the plunge.

if its a Zeus thats gonna be one of the best deals ever on a PS (Probably not very quiet but for $50, who the hell cares)

    Nice spotting the similarity erocker

I wonder if I can split up the insides and make a really low profile modded PS?

EDIT: not that I needed it but I picked one up, thanks guys.

when I saw erockers pict it looked like 2 separate heatsink assemblys inside (lower profile than reg PSs) so I thought if I separated them and set them 1 in front of the other it would make a low profile PS.

I was thinking of making my Qpack mod about 6" tall and that would do it.

And like with OpenBox mobos good deals are a lot funner to mod than stuff that costs $$$$..

Lol, I bought two of them! Might as well get the PSU's out of the way for the computers at work that need upgrading. :)

I really wish I hadn't seen this too late—I really need a good deal on a good high-output PSU.

I probably should have tried/tested this before I opened it, lol...

Its interesting, on one hand the PCI X wires seem a bit small ga. (may be no prob just are a smaller gauge than the 24 pin cable)

And this SERIOUSLY should of had some type of grommet where the wires leave the housing (for me no biggie as I will probably cut them all off)

But on the good side the two half's are connected by plugs so separating them is easy.

The fan is an excellent Sanyo Denki

The workmanship looks OK (not as excellent like the Corsair HX 750 was) but OK

Damn thing weighs a ton so the free shipping was cool.
    suraswami says thanks.

The Corsair must be on the left. The two giant caps definitely look better than those four smaller caps.

pretty sure that's simply the two parts of the psu: yanked, seperated, and set side by side.
    MKmods says thanks.

Yep, thats the reason for buying this PS for me. Internally it has 2 separate circuit boards that are 1/2 the height of regular PSs.

And the caps are 105C ones too (nice)
